Sony on AK1025: sand clock.

Postby rodin.s » Mon Jul 25, 2011 7:47 pm

CPU: AK1025
Flash: HY27UU08AG5A
Board ID: KJT-960FV1-STLS 2007.1.30
Display: A-F2021-0/1.5/2P/RFD/071210
It has sand clock after turning on and is in ADFU mode: ID 10d6:ff66
By googling I've found this firmware: http://www.mediafire.com/?wumw37er7x8sqi5
After flashing this fw into player I've got it recognized as storage device, I've put some music to it. But display doesn't work. No picture, but light is on. Blindly I managed to play music.
I have made s1clone dump of it's sand clock state and another s1clone dump with this no_display firmware. I also managed to extract files from no_display firmware. I want to get some files from 'sand clock s1clone dump' and put it into 'no_display firmware'.
But I have problems with strange firmware encoding. I mean files in firmware and in s1clone dump are different and they differ in some long 'vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv' lines in firmware which is replaced by only 'vv' in dump. I guess s1res can encode it. But is there a separate utility for that. For example I want to extract (using hex editor) BRECF285.BIN from 'sand clock s1clone dump'. But it's not normal without this extra 'vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv'. Is there a utility to add them.
s1clone dump:
Code: Select all
