ATJ2051 ? - try this mini-archive.

Postby JedOi » Tue Feb 14, 2006 1:50 am

Ok, here's all of the ATJ2051 firmwares I could find to date in one mini-archive.

ATJ2051 mini-archive.7z (1.36MB)

In the archive -

m600 (FULL).bin
ATJ2051 (FULL).bin
MP-683E-GC-V01 (FULL).bin

2005.08.28 (Bohemhio-Mallu Boy - dump).bin
MP683 (dump).bin
MU333A7 (dump).bin
UNKNOWN (ATJ2051) (dump).bin
YF001A (v3.5.31) (BREC641) (dump).bin
YOHO (v3.5.31) (BREC641) (dump).bin

Only FULL files will flash to a device in ADFU (recovery) mode ... try flashing a FULL file to get off ADFU mode first then if the player doesn't function correctly you can start trying the dump files (or you can merge dump files into other FULL files see this Sticky).

Good luck ;)

I have a 2051 model, identified only as 2005.08.28 . None of the three worked in mine. I recovered my player with the dump.bin emailled to me by a member of this forum so there is at least one more version out there which you must seek out and incorporate in your mini archive.

Shall send the dump to you if you so desire.
s1 mp3 player stickered 256 mb, actually 128 with 2005.08.28 board, atj2051 - now 1000 Mb after chip replacement. Instructions on soldering memory chips here: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1592&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=23

You mean it flashes but doesn't repair or you mean it won't flash ?

Try them all starting with ...

MP-683E-GC-V01 (FULL).bin

and

ATJ2051 (FULL).bin

Good luck.

Hi PerYcut,

I have tried merging those files into FULL files with no success so far I'm afraid :(

You can merge them into different full files yourself if you like though with my simple batch tool in this sticky thread ;)

hy.
thanks for your help

i have merged the ATJ2051 (FULL).bin with the YF001A (v3.5.31) (BREC641) (dump).bin from the archice

i think the YF001A (v3.5.31) (BREC641) (dump).bin is the right one for my player .

in the player are the number YF001A

after flashing with merged file the player doesnt starting . he freeze in starting mode.

i think i take it and let in fall in my recycler :)

I'm sure the firmware dump is correct ... it's just finding a FULL file with the right boot-loader files that you need ... I tried with virtually all of the full files in the archive for someone else but to no avail :(

I also emailed a couple of manufacturers to try to get a FULL file that we could merge with but they obviously have more important things to do than to reply to customers in distress

I'm going to email them again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again till they respond

I reckon if we can just get one FULL firmware with the right files that all these ATJ2051 players will come back to life :D

YF001A was supplied by wojciu (thread link) but I have merged his dump.bin with virtually every FULL file in the entire archive and none of them has worked for him/her ...

YF001A is a pretty special firmware which (as far as we can tell) gives players which use it the ability to play OGG files but the players don't use the usual BREC644 ... they use BREC641 instead for some reason ... this is probably why the dump won't work when merged with other firmwares which normally use BREC644 ...

I am still searching for a FULL file to merge the YF001A dump with ...

hmm, Disk Error eh !

Try running the formatting tool, see if that will detect the device ... if it does, format to FAT ... see what happens then.

Also ... see what the player is detected as (if anything) in Device Manager ...
