need firmware for sigmatel 3504 mp3 player with samsung k9l

Hi, I have a basic mp3 player running on a sigmatel 3504 chip.
This is what the player looks like on the outside:

And this is the opened player:

It's strange that on the memory chip it doesn't say samsung or hynix or toshiba it only says K9L.... so I'm assuming it's a samsung.

This player is recognized by the PC, and when I try to put a file bigger than 1MB it starts to copy, but the process isn't finished in the end and the explorer window freezes.
I think I should upgrade the firmware, but I cant find the firmware, so if anyone has the firmware for sigmatel 3504 please help!

I can't read the whole number on the memory (K9L something, so it is probably Samsung). Can you move the paste which is on it and tell us the complete number. You can also check with this number if your memory is really what is pretended here:

You should try to format the player before doing anything else. Format to whatever you player is not formated in, then format back (ex.: FAT32 -> FAT -> FAT32 OR FAT -> FAT32 -> FAT).

Warning: Backup all important data which is on the player first!

well... the player had worked fine, and with 1GB memory space occupied so there was problem of a hacked memory, and as for the format sequence you suggested, it was FAT, but when I tried to format it FAT32 I got the message: "windows could not format this drive".

Anyway, I opened the player again to check the number I accidentally dropped some glue on the chip and on the LCD screen, so now the screen won't display anything. In conclusion case closed, RIP sigmatel player. Now I have to deal with this one: viewtopic.php?t=6601

Just I think it was SIGMATEL STMP3504 player with a SAMSUNG 713 K9LAG0840N.

Anyway Guys, do you ever had the firmware of this....
It flows-down on the market (the GenX Mp3) and sadly there's no available support (driver or firmware)
from the site (GenXmea.com)
The board markings are PA60/64 M1.8W 27-08-2005 and E234156 SL-M 94V-0 and the chipsets
are those mentioned above (Samsung and Sigmatel)..

Could anybody provide some "ressurection software" for this.

i had light problem( no light) so i tried to update firmware with this programm >>> Chiros Sigmatel MSCN STMP3500 MP3 Player firmware
this program found new firmware and update it my watch mp4 player,but now is not boot at all!
and when it connect to my computer it recognized as flash disk.
please help me!
what i must do to alive my watch mp4 player?
