Sigmatel are NOT S1 (PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING)

For Sigmatel chip based and others non-S1 players, such as ATJ2075-based. (NOTE: these are NOT S1 Players and the guides on this site will not help with these players)

Sigmatel are NOT S1 (PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING)

Because this forum is gaining popularity, i have added this room for Sigmatel chipped players.

Please note, Sigmatel chip based MP3 Players are NOT S1, and the guides on the main page probably are useless on these players!

Post here ONLY have a Sigmatel player problem (or want to help someone fix one  )

An easy way to tell it is a Sigmatel player is that is may have an SD card slot on the side :D

there is a portuguese site:

http://paginas.terra.com.br/informatica/midireview/

the site maker got some firmwares for sigmatel players ...
it works on stmp 3500 and also 3502, 3503, 3505, 3506, 3510, 3520, 3550, 3560.

google language tools can maybe translate it ....

for sigmatel fans, the sigmatel SDK is available on emule ... seek for it there ... the COMPLETE firmware sources are included.

Hey cool! I have one of those!

If you didn't post this link, I would never tell it was a "Sigmatel" player! :P

I really like this player, as you can expand it's memory with SD cards - my player has 256mb memory, and I also use a 1Gb SD card in it. Very useful :)

Good to know the firmware source is avaiable, even though I have no need to mess with it right now, as it works well as it is.
My MP4 player specs:
