K9x8Gxxxxx = 8Gb (GigaBit) = 1024MB (MegaByte) :?:

You can find out the real size of your SAMSUNG chip here:

* K9x1Gxxxxx = 1Gb (GigaBit) = 128MB (MegaByte)
* K9x2Gxxxxx = 2Gb (GigaBit) = 256MB (MegaByte)
* K9x4Gxxxxx = 4Gb (GigaBit) = 512MB (MegaByte)
* K9x8Gxxxxx = 8Gb (GigaBit) = 1024MB (MegaByte)
* (1 Byte = 8 bits)

No, FAT32 will also work on smaller drives than 2GB ... Older firmwares didn't support it, but newer do. Player is new enough I think. But correct, firmware seems to have been moved to the "virtual" (unreal) part of memory. :evil:
