Hello,
I tried to install the new firmware, but it didn't work.
I have 2 models of the MP600-GC MP3 player. I tried to backup the second to apply to the first. But it also didn't work, the backuped firmware seems to be invalid.
Can someone help me to find the MP600-GC (main) version 5 (2005/09/07) firmware ?
Is there another way to solve my problem ?
Thanks,

Please check out and follow the instructions on, Dead Player, Recovery thread.....

Its ALL there, I have used this on my Ultra El Cheapo 'experimental' dont-care-if-I kill-it player.....

I completely killed it yesterday,...Absolutely and utterly DEAD....!

This proceedure WORKS, but you MUST FOLLOW the instructions carefully, you MUST 'FORMAT' the player with the HP tool, after you flash a firmware that gets it out of ADFU mode, and BEFORE you flash your 'Dump.Bin' file, or you'll get the 'Player-busy' error or 'No Player' connected error or the 'wrong F/W. file' error

It doesnt matter what F/W you use to get the player Out Of ADFU, your original 'Dump.Bin' will restore correct functions. Theres a download with piles of F/W somewhere here, One should get the player out of ADFU and then your'e home and dry, --Nearly!
