Sandisk e310 512mb

Postby kakureru » Sun Aug 13, 2006 8:57 am

Some one jsut gave me this and it has a vacant slot benieth the SD slot.
Now as tempted as I am to toss in 2 1gb chips, I will see if itl simply take
one of tel's 512 chips since it already has one and there is a silver model
of this that is 1gb. It has a simular controler.

Now I know im being vague, but ill have more pics soon if interest insues
and pics of installation once I get it :) (I cant wait)

Maybe be this works without much mod Ill get another and drop in 2 1gb chips. Now wont that be a treat?

~ Ill enter somthin when I think of it ~

Hi all, sorry for the delays in responding to messages. I have upgraded computer and been busy on other projects. We still have a fair few chips available.

We can't supply without firmware as requested above as I like to check them before sending. Besides there will be residue firmware of somesort on them regardless.

I am surprised that so many people have managed to put extra chips in succesfully. I guess it helps that only half the 48pins are used.

Thanks htel for the chip. I have sucessfully upgraded my Xerox issue mp3 player from 256m to 1g by removing the original flash mem. and replacing it with the 1g. I am also interested in seeing if anyone has any luck getting 2 - 1g chips to work.

By the way the Xerox player uses the AJT2051

I want a memory upgrade on my Zen nano plus with 1Gb but I think that's impossible.
Maybe there's a firmware limitation on the device.

Increasing Nano Clone memory - with new nand ?

Postby bgengine » Fri Oct 27, 2006 10:38 am

Guys I got a 4g Nano Clone. After reading all the posts here I became a bit suspicious of the actual memory size - I opened it up and sure enough it has a K9WAG08U1A samsung nand flash - this is a 2 Gig device - so yes I was caught !!!.
I assume at some stage I'll load more than 2G on to the device and I'll start getting problems.
Anyway, does anyone know if it is possible to replace (using a soldering iron) this K9WAG08U1A with a samsung KN9BG08U5A. This KN9BG08U5A is a 4G nand flash. Would this work ? The CPU is a ATJ2051h.

I've seen the posts here where Nand flash was piggy backed - what about a complete replacement ?

Would I need to change firmware as well ?

any info on this would be appreciated - thanks

Any experience on ipod nano clone?

Postby Jaykob » Fri Jun 08, 2007 9:18 am

Has anybody did a memory upgrade to an ipod nano clone like this:
http://www.engadget.com/2006/12/04/keepin-it-real-fake-part-xxxviii-if-it-looks-like-an-ipod-so/

I have a "4gb" one but it turned out to only have 256MB. Does anybody know how much memory they support? Where can I get the chip?
Thanks in advance!
