For that info, you have to open up the unit and look at the relevant marking on the Board and Chips like my pictures above.

I need help for my H45-3-A mp3 player

Postby MakiKatze » Mon Jul 03, 2006 4:56 pm

Hi myone,
I've the like-ipod nano mp3 player, same of the pic, mb code H45-3-A.
Today I've flashed bios of H45-2-A, and so my player now has the (in)famous black/blue screen backlighted
After that I've read better (sigh!) and found your post about H45-3-A, and its firmware (http://rapidshare.de/files/22266234/dump.zip.html), I've flashed it, but, damn, nothing happens, and I've still black/blue display...
There is a way to re-animate my player, or it never 'll work again?
Thank a lot!

If your very sure the board ID is correct, It is the correct firmware 100% guaranteed. Please reference my pics on Post #1 for PCB comparison. (not just the printed ID)

:( I really dont know how else to advise.

1. What do yo mean by "flash on and off" ?
2. What version "Upgrade tool" did you use?

:( I just tried it again on my own unit, no problem.

Flashing may take some time, just wait for it to be redetected as a removable disk. After that, press the menu button, I will get the usual menu screens.

From your picture.. the "golden" ribbons at the battery connector looks funky.. You sure the ribbons are fine? If not mistaken those 4 pin ribbons are connected to the screen.

Well.. if all else fails. I really dont know what else to say. It's the right firmware.. Just that the previous flash with the wrong firmware could have made things funky

Wong Flashing has it's painful consequences :(

I can only think to put the unit in ADFU mode and reflashing (maybe there is difference?)
