These files were on a disc that came with an MP4 player I bought off of ebay from seller "LaimanP". I mention the sellers name because 1) You can look up the sellers auctions to see pics of the player these files work for, and 2) LaimanP is one of the few MP4 player sellers who actually sells players with a true 4GB of memory and not the "4GB*" that redirects you to a message stating that only 1GB is used for songs and the rest is just disk drive space. After you download the files here:

Run setup.exe located in "ENGLISH\MP3 firmware upgrade tool\MP3set3_68\setup.exe". Then find "MP3 Player Utilities 3.68" in your startup menu and run "MP3 Player firmware upgrading tool". Click on Help and you will see the following (shown in bold text):
MP3 Player firmware upgrading tool quick start

First, make sure connect MP3 Player with computer’s USB port normally, and no other removable disk connecting to this computer’s USB port.

The information of selected firmware file will be displayed in the top-right group box. Then, click the button "Begin upgrading" to start upgrading new firmware.
If upgrading or recovering successfully, the tool will show "Upgrade is success, the program will exit". Click OK button, the tool will closed automatically, and all upgrading or recovering done.
ATTENTION, DON’T DISCONNECT MP3 PLAYER DURING UPGRADING OR RECOVERING
I'm assuming that this program will allow people who have a dead MP4 Player (of my type) to recover their device. Forgive me if I am breaking any rules of this site or forum by posting any of this. I am only trying to help.
