Corrupted files

Postby Spruce » Fri Aug 11, 2006 9:08 pm

Hi

I have added folders to my new MP4 player SC85051F ACT_V3.5.35 which contain MP3 audio files and now some of these folders are corrupted. I can not get them deleted. I added them via my PC and the usb link. Windows will not delete them.

I have since added other folders containing MP3 files and they seem to display properly in windows and I can play them via windows.

If I try to display anything other than the local folder on the MP4 Player it waits a bit and then resets itself. I can not access the new folders I have added to the MP4.

Any suggestions?

Can I reformat the MP4? Will this destroy the firmware or are they on separate memory?

Corrupted folders/files.

It happened with me 2. I reboot my pc, synchronize the mp4 again, rename the corrupted folders with any name you want, and then I erased easily.

I have another problem similar to this...

firstly put around 2gb of mp3 files on my 4gb player (ATJ 2085W, B204V3-4), similar to ipod one. Then, I tried to add more files...it´s successfuly done using windows explorer copy and paste (i use win xp) and I could see the new files there.. but when taking my mp4 to use, the files are not shown there. More: my win explorer shows I have around 2gb recorded in my mp4, but my mp4 shows almost everything is taken....

I erased every folder I downloaded and the flash memo did not show me thru the mp4 player. Maybe the player 'understood' that that space erased is still there...

Does anyone have the same problem or the solution of it?

thanks and congratulations for the forum !!!

Simple you have a hacked device

Do a raw format and you will see your true size.

Speak to the supplier they will give you loads of crap and tell you not to format. This is because they know it is fiddled.

Open it up and see the memory chip 99% of cases it will be half of what they told you i.e. if you bought a 4GB it will be a 2GB.

If you challenge them they will offer to refund you some of the money (not the action of an honest seller)

This applies to virtually all of the NANO type clones originating from China

At least after formatting you will not get the corruption as it is only using the true space.

Do you think there´s anyway to make ebay not accept these nano type players to be sold there anymore?
