When I click "Download" and next "I Agree" I see this:
"Information
You can not download this file directly from another site!
"

:? What now...? Maybe you have got this file on your computer? What I can do?

Thanks, bye!

From: viewtopic.php?t=6522
BARMAN2005, I've read your problem, and I don't know what's the deal, but... maybe it would be a good idea to ask someone with the same model to check it's firmware so you know exactly what functional unit has (first, I guess you have to download a program that does that), and even copy that exact firmware to your mp3player...

Hi!

Yes, this is great advice BUT... Program s1fwx v3.2 CAN'T extract firmware 9.0.50(I have it as original). So I am waiting for new version of this program: viewtopic.php?t=6507

Bye

Don't know... Maybe it should be just overwriten (like when you download BIOS for your PC motherboard).

In general - solution to problems is re-tracing steps and using logic to figure out what may be the cause.

First we must know where is firmware stored and does some circuit have to be bridged to enable writing on it. I don't know - everything might be a problem depending on what model it is.

Some specialist must open it and figure out if something must be done prior to attempting to write the firmware on it.

Here is a definitive solution: buy some MP4 - with color screen (if not iPod) - those one are far more fun - you can quickly convert movies into .amv format and watch your favourite stuff whereever you weant - use that one and try occasionaly to get the answer on this dead one (god have mercy on its firmware).
Put it somewhere at a side until the doctors figure out the cure...
...And then - oh - that joyful day - you will run the program, it will spring back to life without any hasle and then you will be able to choose weither you want to carry that little one you can hang anywhere or his a bit bigger brother with a color screen.

Nice and easy.

What are you talking about? I have mp3  ... And I am waiting for new tool(wiRe made it) for extract firmware v9 players. I talked with wiRe about it. When wiRe made it I will ask someone with the same model of mp3 to extract frirmware and I put it in mine. I must only wait for new tool for players v9.

That's exactly what I'm talking about: buy MP4 player while you wait for a definitive 'cure' for your dead simple MP3 player.

I have this one (right here in my pocket, heh, heh):
Image

On it you can:
- listen to the mp3 music
- watch movies converted to .amv (quick process because of small 128x128 pixel picture resolution in color and with sound)
- record voice like dictaphone
- listen to recorded stuff and other .wav files in your player
- listen to FM radio stations
- review pictures in your 2GB memory
- make all sorts of settings related to its usage
- read .txt files you copied to it
- copy your phone book to it
- play games (mine has boxman, tetris (bricks), winmines and color bead)
