How to flash backed up fimrware in recovery mode (s1fwx)

If you know where to find the firmware for board MP-483C V1.2 (original one was 3.0.41 by Wilson Co.) please help me.

I tried to build a script with the .bin file that I got from the player before I killed it, but it does not work....

my way of doing this is slightly different:

find a firmware that allows you to see something on the screen (like starting...)

make sure it is the same version (3.0.41 in your case)

extract BOTH .bin files with s1fwx and make a script for the original fimrware (the one you have found)

replace "fwimage.fw" ONLY from your backed up firmware, to the original firmware and use the script to compile it again.

flash that, and it should work

<warning>Warning, you sould only do this if you have a lot of time!!! The process of finding a "working" firmware to bind with WILL result in you killing your player a few times! 99.99% of the time you will be able to recover the player to try another firmware!

If you want to play it safe, extract the firmware and leave it untill you NEED to use it in recovery mode

When I'll have more time I'll try to find a compatible f/w and then do what you said (not urgent, but it'll be useful when I'll need it)

To know if a f/w is good we only have to check if it shows "starting..." when we put a battery in?

And doesn't trying a f/w damage the BREC?

2. It may. I don't know well, but i think there are some cases the bloader get overwritten .. in this cases, if you write a bad bloader, it's IMPOSSIBLE to recover the player unless if you write a new bloader via ICE(check 4 it on the hardware page of the site).

Is there as way with s1fwx to see if a f/w can kill or not the player?

i think this can only be done by manuany damaging the fw fle on the boot loader part, on a smart way, so the crc get validated and the bad bloader get flashed ...

all the official firmware include, off course, a valid bloader for the atj2085...

Yeah, wiRes version of the "combine firmware" told us to copy the BREC from the dump as well, on mine you DONT.

When i tried wiRes idea, the player went instently into recovery mode (not even nedding shorting) but my way worked every time!

BTW: i have tried about 80 different fimrwares when trying to fix my player and NONE of them killed the BREC (even the MP4 firmware didnt kill an MP3 player!!!)

Also i am editing the first post, incase anyone kills their player in the prosess of making good firmware!

because you are only using the fwimage.fw file not the extracted BRECs

Ok, now i have more time to answer this

We repair so we can flash the FW when the player is still working, s1fwx 3.0 claims to be able to now extract FW to be used in recovery mode, but i am yet to try it!

but now my player is ADFU mode.
this dump.bin file is can't recover it.
i need a 2085 chip is FW file. please.
